August 28, 2016 - Fixed a mini-me bug

Thanks to an astute user, we were informed of a bug in our "mini-me" micro sized list. While we were fixing that we did some other updates since it had been nearly 5 years since our last change!

It is hard to believe it was 8 years ago that we launched our humble little todo list app.

Thanks again to our friendly user and all of you that support DoitDoitDone!

December 29, 2011 - Completely Revamped!

It's been over two years since our last update! We have largely left DoitDoitDone alone and it appears to have been useful to many people - which makes us very happy!

But we also had our own list - of things to improve at DoitDoitDone. Primarily we wanted a more responsive interface without all the reloading after each add/edit. We wanted to clean up some of the formatting (esp. on the mini versions) - and add customized fonts!

Please enjoy the new interaction - and let us know in the comments if you like the changes and/or what else you would like to see!

Thanks everyone!

April 8, 2009 - Spring is here!

And to enjoy this season even while on your computer, Tito created this grassy field where you can dream of all the things you want to do!

And on another note - be sure and check out our "sister site" for quickly seeing what your friends are up to on Twitter : Twitter for Busy People.

March 11, 2009 - Network Outage

The bluejava servers suffered intermittent network outage yesterday. If you ran into this, we apologize for any inconvenience. We do not expect any further interruptions.

March 10, 2009 - Chalkboard Theme

By popular request, we added a chalkboard theme. Why is it a popular reqeuest you ask? We seem to have quite a few users in the educational field, so a classroom theme is fun. We have a couple other themes waiting to be uploaded - as well as a paper studio for user uploads! Stay tuned!

February 10, 2009 - Valentine's Day Theme

Tito designed a new Valentine's Day Theme complete with hearts and bears. Happy Valentine's Day!

January 28, 2009 - Printing

You can now easily print your to-do lists right from the main screen. Just click the printer, add notes if you wish, and hit print!

We try not to use too much paper (the earth appreciates it) - but sometimes a hardcopy is really helpful. Enjoy!

Also check out the new pink-ribbon theme! More coming soon! (as well as custom uploadable themes!)

January 13, 2009 - Things to Come

We have had several requests for new features by our frequent didid'ers! We love hearing from all of you and are very interested in hearing what will make this service more valuable. We want to be very responsive to these needs, and will do the two most popular requests this month. (which is not much time!)

The first feature is a "printable" list. This would look a bit like your "mini-me" list, but no background at all - just a simple black and white list for printing. Look for this soon!

The other often-requested feature is for user-submitted themes! This should prove to be quite fun, as we see the talent pouring in from the user community. Stay tuned and watch for this one very soon!

January 1, 2009 - Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everybody! We hope that 2009 will be a fantastic year for you all! We are really excited about what 2009 will bring - not just for DoitDoitDone! but throughout this accelerating sense of community that we are witnessing all around us.

We do hope that this site and others we create will aid in bringing people together and helping people accomplish their goals. To this effect, we will be looking to add more "community-oriented" features to DoitDoitDone as well as our other services.

Notice that the Christmas theme has been removed (until next year!) and a "snowflake" theme has taken it's place. We don't force the change - so any Christmas themed lists out there stay Christmas until you change them. Soon we will incorporate custom themes submitted by users! Stay tuned!!

December 16, 2008 - Twitter

December 9, 2008 - Blog Your List

Nearly another week has gone by and the usage of DoitDoitDone has been on a steady climb! A huge thanks goes out to those of you telling your friends and family about us. Also we've gotten some really generous comments from people finding the service useful. THANKS!

One new feature you may notice is the ability to "undo" the crossing off of an item... clearly a must-have.

More fun, is the ability to publish your list on your blog or website! The list will constantly update to reflect changes you make. Whatever your blog/site area of interest, there is nearly always something you "plan to do" and displaying it with our mini lists is a perfect way to convey this to your readers.

Soon we will create a list of the most popular blogs with doitdoitdone lists published on their sites! So get those lists up on your sites and we'll add you to the list!

December 3, 2008 - Mini Me!

We've made a couple interface "tweaks" to hopefully make things clearer. But the bigger enhancement this round is the appearance of the "Mini Me" list view. Click this link at the bottom of your list and a small window with your list will appear.

This Mini Me list is not itself editable, but click anywhere on the mini display to open your list in the original form.

This is a really handy way to keep your todo list off to the side of your computer screen while you work. If you need to add an item, cross one off, or move things around, just click anywhere on the mini view!

Comments Welcomed!

November 26, 2008 - A List with a View

We are happy to announce a new "View Only" feature, which allows you to share your list with your friends without giving edit ability. You can now send links to your list to anyone you wish to keep informed of the list contents but whom has no need or business editing the list.

The URL remains your secret "key" to your list. Every list has a List ID as well as an Edit Key that provides view and edit access to the list. Now, there is a View Key as well, which provides viewing without editing.

I hope you all find it useful! Next, we will be offering a little code snippet you can place on your blog or web page to display your list to all your viewers! Stay tuned!

November 21, 2008 - Feeling the love

We are getting quite a few writeups and reviews from various blogs around the world - THANK YOU!

For some reason, there seems to be a particular enthusiasm in Japan, and in Germany. We are not sure why - but we are happy for it! We actually live in Japan (Yokohama) so that is fun. And much thanks to the good people of Germany for showing us the love!

We hope to keep things moving here by making this app more useful and more fun. Some of the features we are planning include: a "view-only" link (for sharing your todo with others whom you do not wish to allow editing); a history of "done" tasks by date; and allowing users to upload their own paper images.

Please let us know if there is something you'd like to see in particular.

If you'd like us to shoot you an email when we improve the site,

November 17, 2008 - DoitDoitDone! is Launched!

Yay! Pop open the bubbly - DoitDoitDone! went live today!

It's a simple app, but it's always worth celebrating when something goes live. We did end up spending a bit of time polishing this up and making sure it was stylish and worked well. We sure hope you all find it useful and enjoyable!

Comments always appreciated!
